In a private van drive through the Sacred valley until you arrive at the retreat center. This spiritual retreat includes ceremonies guided by Master Andean Shamans in addition to a private Ayahuasca session guided by Shipibo shamans from the Peruvian Jungle. The shamans will guide you through ceremonies intended to cleanse and reorient the spirit. Taking the medicine will give you the opportunity to meet your true inner self guiding you through your deepest thoughts all the while looking past the barriers instilled by the ego. The ceremony will conclude with an offering to Pachamama to
show our appreciation.
Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is a special brew native to the jungles of South America and is made
by preparing and boiling different plants in a single pot. The mixtures vary drastically from shaman to shaman and from one region to another but, generally speaking, there are two main ingredients,
caapi vine, and chacruna. Caapi vine is an MAOI while chacruna contains the psychoactive ingredient DMT. The caapi vine allows the body to absorb the DMT which would otherwise be destroyed in the
gut before it has a chance to take any psychoactive effects.
You will need to follow a strict diet up to three weeks before taking Ayahuasca. The diet depends on each individual shaman but generally you can’t eat various types of foods and must refrain from drugs, alcohol, and sexual activities. It’s also very important to focus your intention on the ceremony to come. If you are looking for something in particular to achieve or learn from the ceremony it’s recommended to focus on that intention. Remember, every ceremony will be different and each individual will have a
unique experience.
Ayahuasca is a guide, and can redirect individuals who feel lost, helping them come to newfound realizations and overcome long held hurdles. The experience will vary greatly from one person to the next. You may have a profoundly spiritual experience connecting with lost loved ones and Pachamama in general. Or, you may have a deeply introspective experience learning new lessons about yourself. Whatever the experience, Ayahuasca is a potent medicine for the mind and body that’s been used for a millennium. With a wide range of effects taking Ayahuasca is one of the most profound ceremonies one can participate in.
