What To Expect
The scenic journey will take you from Poroy in the city of Cusco or from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Travel through the Sacred Valley with stunning views, onboard refreshments, and traditional Andean dance. This extraordinary journey caters to the comfort and the enjoyment of the passengers.
The interior of the train is equipped with large comfortable seating which, when combined with the large windows, provides an excellent vantage point to enjoy the passing landscape. Snacks are also provided at no additional charge. The snacks provided include quinoa chips, quinoa bar, chocolate bar, coca candies, tea/coffee or bottled water.
In addition to the onboard refreshments, the journey provides live traditional Andean dance and music performances that will further immerse you in the Andean culture. Dancers wear traditional clothing and masks, and are accompanied by a live band.
Types of Services
Standard Service
The regular service operates from May to December from the train station in Poroy to Aguas Calientes.
BIMODAL SERVICE (BUS+TRAIN)
This service only operates from January to April and offers a private ride to the train station in Ollantaytambo, then onto Aguas Calientes.
Whichever service you choose it will be the same process for the return journey. Please note the biomodal service will have a higher cost.
